I paid premiums for 25 years on a disability policy. I am unable to work and filed a claim seven months ago. The claims dept. has been "reviewing it" for seven months and sending dozens of forms for me and my doctors to complete. When all the reports arrive, they ask for an "update" from all the doctors again so that the claim goes 'round and 'round with no resolution or commitment to one. If you don't submit the forms again and again, your claim is denied. If you do submit them, they ask for updates and always blame the delay on someone else. Now I have to find a lawyer which, of course, will give them yet another reason for a delay. Go elsewhere if you ever expect to file a claim..
